Let’s go to Suigo Sawara, Townscape of Koedo by the Bicycle only train “B.B.BASE” in Chiba!

Saturday, January 6, We went to Katori-jingu Shrine in Chiba Prefecture for a slightly later hatsumode.

I left Yokohama about an hour and a half by rent a car to Katori-jingu Shrine and about 10 o’clock, so I have plenty of time. The weather is nice, so go to Sawara.
So we first gathered information at Michi-no-eki Mizunosato Sawara, a roadside station about three kilometers ago.
At the information center, about 1.5 kilometers ago, we were informed that there was Koedo townscape.

The scenery of the old townscape and the watershed where boats pass. In addition, there are many fashionable shops around where old folk houses remain as they are.

And it seems that it is also a place associated with “Tadataka INO”, who created a map of Japan in the Edo period, and there are also places such as “Ino Tadataka Memorial Hall.”

It’s a small town, so it’s perfect for a cafe or shop tour while short cycling.
It seems that there are also rental bicycles at Michi-no-Eki, so it looks like it will be fun for beginners and children as well.

Just this day, JR East Japan began operating a bicycle only train called B.B.BASE, it means Boso Cycling Base. Which connects the city center with the Chiba and Boso locals.
If it gets warmer, I’m thinking of using B.B.BASE to enjoy the trip around Suigo Sawara by bicycle.
